“My speciality was in Mergers and Acquisitions, initially as Head of EMEA M&A at ABN AMRO and then at Barclays Capital. During this time, I specialised in Natural Resources and EMEA Emerging Markets. I’ve advised companies such as Shell, EDF, Rosneft, Severstal, and the Republic of Kazakhstan on oil and gas transactions, which were transformational for the nation.

5 Things you may not know about the man in the chair:
- I lived in the Middle East for ten years but am now back in the UK.
- My first sporting love was football, and I was the goalkeeper for Swindon Town’s Youth Team.
- Rugby came into my life at Loughborough University, but I soon discovered I had no idea what I was doing, and the other guys were much stronger than me!
- I now focus on charitable work as Director and Treasurer for Rochford Hundred Rugby Football Club.
- The rest of my time is spent filling my head with “useless” information.
