Head of Mine Consultancy

“My 30+ years in the mining industry come with a huge variety of experiences – from operating in -30 degrees in North America to exploring in +40 degrees in Africa. Big equipment, long-life assets, and significant investments are all part of the territory. And so is dealing with widely varying expectations from owners, shareholders, communities, and governments.”

“Insurance and risk management often sit quietly in the background, as integral to what we do as a new CAT loader. So, it is great to be part of this innovation, where the challenges we all face can be better managed, and everyone better protected.”

(Almost) 5 Things you may not know about the man in the chair:
  • At the age of 51, I ran a marathon in every state and territory in Australia in under a year, raising money for indigenous health programs in Western Australia, all well under four hours!
  • I live in the most remote city in the world, surrounded by a clean and vibrant environment with some of the best food and wine I have had the joy to taste anywhere.
  • I have worked on four continents and visited 52 countries across the globe, and plenty more to come.
  • Having spent several years working in the agricultural sector, I know a bit about cattle and sheep.
